My inspiration for this art project came when I could not decide what to draw, so Seth suggested that I draw Roo from Winnie the Pooh. I began by finding a picture of Roo, off of Google. Next, I got a piece of paper and drew the image of him with pencil. After this, I traced my drawing with a black marker and topped it off with colored markers. I learned how to draw an image I have seen, well. Also, I enhanced my marker-coloring skills, too. The drawing turned out just how I hoped for.

The vision for this project came when I saw a really cool looking black and white drawing on the earth with constellations and animals. I wanted to do something similar to this, because I thought it was a great resemblance of everything in our universe. The giraffe is one of the biggest animals on the land, so I thought it would be a good idea to use it because it shows greatness. I then colored each region a different color to show diversity. Lastly, I added the darkness of space with stars in the background, because space surrounds the earth.
The first step we did was drawing the earth and each individual region within it (e.g. North America, Africa, South America, Middle East, etc.). Next, we used water color pencils and shaded each region and the water with a different color, then added the water to blend the color pencil shading. After this, we drew the giraffe in top of the world, then used water color pencils (blue shades), starting from lack and shading until a light blue to resemble space. Then, we used white paint and paintbrushes to dot the stars (white dots) and topped of the entire background with glitter. Lastly, we ironed the drawing to get rid of the wrinkles. Through this process, I have learned how paint, use water color, and iron drawings. I learned that taking your time is very important, because rushing through the project can result in a bad project. The piece did not turn out exactly how I wane to, but I was still very happy with the outcome. Alexis came up with the inspiration for this project. At first, we splattered paint (colors) on the canvas, then we drew the outline for Audrey. After this, we painted her with acrylic paint (black and white). The project took about 3 weeks to complete. I learned how to draw better and enhanced my painting skills. The painting turned out great!
Alexis first thought of this project, and worked on this for a month a and a half before I joined in. However, I did help for the last month, until the project was complete. When I joined, they were still cutting the glass pieces, which I helped do, by using the glass cutter. Then, we layer down grout on a tile board, and quickly layer down the glass pieces in accordance to their previous position. Then, we put grout over the glass pieces and wiped off the excess grout with a cloth. Lastly, we used glass cleaner to clean the glass. I learned how to cut and lay down glass, grout, and, overall, work with glass.
My inspiration for this art project was I saw this picture online with string art, and I was inspired. Meghan and I did this together. First, we spray painted the wood board. I drew the outline of the elephant and the word, then put nails along the outline, and lastly weaved the string around each nail. Then I painted grey within the elephant. She stringed the "dream." We used string, nails, pray paint, a hammer, and paint. Some changes we faced were we had to re-nail the loose nails. I learned that nailing takes a lot of work, and you want to d o it good and right the first, because it is so much harder to re-nail when you have nails surrounding it.
We (Abby and I) wanted to make a paper Mache project. We were thinking that a snake would a great idea, since it was an inside joke between us. We create this snake by first building the structure from paper towels rolls. Then, we taped the rolls together, creating its structure. Then, we paper mached the paper towel rolls with newspaper first, then paper towel on top. We attached these with the paper Mache glue. Lastly, we used acrylic paints and our painting skills to make the different colors, which gave it texture, and distinct features on it. This project took about two weeks to complete. I learned how to paper Mache; you have to mix the dark paint into the light, and paper Mache takes a long time to complete. The piece turned out FABULOUS! The only two things which bothered me, a bit, was the snake is a bit unbalanced and the fangs are not how I envisioned them to turn out.
